STAN is proud to announce its ongoing partnership with Youth Rising Above (YRA), a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering marginalized youth across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
On March 24, 2023, we had the pleasure of hosting Jonathan John, Executive Director and Founder, and Christian Dinelli, Program Coordinator, from Youth Rising Above (YRA) at our office.
They kindly shared YRA's dedication to providing various resources, including psychological counseling, mentorship, women's workshops, medical and employment opportunities, to help marginalized youth across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.
We have always been inspired by YRA's work and committed to making a difference in the lives of young people in the community.
STAN’s founders, Max Gajdel and Bogdan Raic participated in the leadership workshop at DiscoverU held by YRA at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) @ Downtown Toronto to share valuable insights on their journey of entrepreneurship with youth participants.
Two of our female leaders, Jessie Leung (Software Engineering Manager) and Abby Asuncion (Customer Success Specialist), will attend Youth Rising Above's female leadership workshop next month. They'll share their valuable work experience as women working in the tech industry and inspire young people to overcome barriers and unleash their potential.
As part of our ongoing commitment, STAN has made a donation to support YRA's mission of empowering marginalized youth across the GTA. The donation will help YRA provide vital resources and services to youth in need, including mental health support, career guidance, and access to education and training.
In addition to the donation, STAN is honored to offer potential internship opportunities for local youth to gain valuable experience and skills in the tech industry. STAN recognizes the importance of providing opportunities for youth to learn, grow, and build their careers, and is committed to supporting the next generation of leaders in the tech industry.
"We're proud to partner with Youth Rising Above to make a positive impact in the community," said Max Gajdel, co-founder of STAN. "YRA's mission to empower marginalized youth aligns with our values at STAN, and we're honored to support their efforts. By offering internship opportunities, we hope to provide valuable experience and mentorship to local youth, and help them achieve their full potential."
STAN and YRA are excited about the potential impact of their partnership, and look forward to working together to empower and uplift youth in the GTA. Together, they are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young people and creating a brighter future for the community.
